Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks an outstanding and enthusiastic individual who can teach a broad range of courses in Intercultural Studies. The individual chosen will teach Hispanic Cultures and other possible courses in Chicano History, Mexican history, American Diversity, history, sociology, anthropology, or foreign language, depending on the candidate's academic degree and background. This position will report to the Dean for Social Science, World Languages and Assessment.

The base salary for this position is $51,000 for a 176-day contract over the Instructional Year (Fall/Winter/Spring Quarters). Additional compensation may be available for assignment of Summer quarter courses or courses taught outside of the full-time position during Fall, Winter and Spring quarters.
Relocation expenses are considered for the employment offer for the successful candidate if the candidate relocates to the Tri-Cities area from outside of a 175-mile radius.

Master's degree in an academic discipline within the Social Sciences (including sociology, history, ethnic studies, anthropology or foreign languages) with a focus on Intercultural Studies, Ethnic Studies, Diversity Studies, Latin American Studies, Chicano Studies, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university; and
One (1) year of college-level teaching experience.
Ph.D. in an academic discipline within the Social Sciences with a focus on Intercultural Studies, Ethnic Studies, Diversity Studies, Latin American Studies, Chicano Studies, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university;
Community college teaching experience;
Experience working with first generation college students;
Columbia Basin College (CBC) serves the citizens of Benton and Franklin counties in Washington state with two-year associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, and applied degrees for workforce employment. CBC also provides one-year certificates and basic skills for those pursuing a GED or high school diploma. CBC serves approximately 7,000-8,000 students each quarter.Columbia Basin College now offers bachelor degrees in Nursing, Project Management, Applied Management, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Dental Hygiene.
