Responsible for assisting with development, implementation, and management of clinical pharmacy initiatives for all CCHP's members to ensure optimal drug treatment outcome and minimize costs. Works with CCHP's internal and external partners, Pharmacy Benefit Manager, physicians, healthcare providers, contracted vendors, and HHSC's representatives to manage pharmacy benefit utilization in accordance with CCHP's contracts, current treatment standards, state and federal regulations. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Program.
Graduate of an American Council on Pharmacy Education accredited school of pharmacy.
PharmD degree preferred.
Advanced clinical skills as evidenced by practice experience, or specialty residency.
Pediatric pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Track record of leadership skills and programmatic development.
Advanced degree (MS, MA or MBA) preferred.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Current, active license to practice pharmacy in Texas (or eligible)
Pediatric Pharmacy or Pharmacotherapy board certification preferred
