The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Binghamton University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish, beginning in August 2018, with expertise in US Latinx/Border/Latin American Studies. This is a one-year, full-time position with the possibility of renewal, a teaching load of three courses per semester (with the option to teach on campus or online during winter and summer breaks), and some departmental service.
Candidates should hold a PhD in Spanish and have native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English. Candidates should also have teaching experience at the university level, and be prepared to teach language and culture/literature courses at all levels, as well as a graduate/undergraduate course in Spanish on "Latin@s in the US: History, Literature, and Film" in the fall.
