The Operations Administrator is responsible for providing budgetary, administrative, and general office support to the Center for Latin American and Latino Studies. Under the supervision of the Director, the incumbent will primarily provide general office and technical support; provide financial administration and budgetary support; and coordinate meetings and events.
This position works closely with all Center staff, and communicates regularly with counterparts based in other administrative and academic units across the University.
This is a one-year, renewable, temporary position
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
$21 - $25/hour.
Required Education and Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent in education, training or experience
At least two years’ work experience in administrative position(s)
Experience with financial administration
Office management skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Outlook; facility with technology and familiarity with email distribution lists
Experience in event management
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be dependable and exhibit sound judgment and professionalism
Must be able to function independently with attention to detail and minimal supervision
Preferred Education and Experience
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish
