Working under the general direction of the Principal Investigator, manage and conduct data collection for an NIH-funded study entitled: “An adaptive intervention to improve health, safety and empowerment outcomes among immigrant women with intimate partner violence experiences”. Study participants include diverse groups of immigrant women from Asian, Latin American and African background.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Design and implement overall recruitment and retention strategies for the project
Build partnerships with organizations serving immigrant women to complete the goals of the study
Identify, screen and recruit participants and assist in completing the survey.
Conduct site visits for partnerships and recruitment
Disseminate study information, conduct outreach and participate in weekly recruitment events
For participants in outside states and regions, develop strategies for online screening and data collection.
Maintain a record of enrolled participants and provide periodic recruitment or enrolment reports to the team.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree preferred
Two (2) years related experience
Bilingual is preferred.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job. *

Two years of related experience preferably in research or clinical setting.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or related field preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience working with at-risk individuals and/or survivors of violence and trauma is desired. Candidate must have personal vehicle.
Position requires strong attention to detail and protocol adherence, while maintaining flexibility to respond to multiple priorities. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
