The Institute for Social Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), invites applications for a position equivalent to full-time Associate Researcher level “C”, for a one-year tenure, thereafter renewable, contingent on satisfactory research performance.
The research theme for this job opening is “Social Space”, focusing on:
Land reconfigurations: institutional frameworks and new urban-rural relations.
Social problems facing the state, from a global spatiality perspective.
Public policy challenges in complex and diverse social spaces.
Demonstrated background in Social Science, in any of its disciplines.
Strong theoretical and methodological background in the field of knowledge pertaining to the proposed theme, as well as demonstrated academic experience.
Preferably, women under the age of 45, and men under the age of 43, by the date this job opening is realesed.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the proposed theme, by presenting a published refereed book authored by the candidate or three papers, also authored by the candidate and published in an indexed journal.
Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate levels.
Commitment to full time research at the Institute, in accordance with Article 61 of UNAM Statute for Academic Staff.
