Department of Spanish & Portuguese - Unit 18 Lecturer
The Department of Spanish & Portuguese at the University of California, Davis, would like to recruit for a Unit 18 Lecturer for the 2019-2020 academic year. We seek an expert in Latin American literature and cultures with the ability to teach Spanish language at all levels (including Spanish for Heritage Speakers), as well as the ability to coordinate intermediate and Heritage Spanish sections. Demonstrated commitment to serving underrepresented minorities essential. Primary duties are: to teach two (2) upper division and two (2) lower division courses in winter and spring 2020; hold office hours each week as required; coordinate intermediate and Heritage Spanish as needed. Assignment of classes, hours of instruction, and office hours are at the discretion of the department. Classes taught are between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
