LATINX PERFORMANCE LECTURER SEARCH
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE - CLAIRE TREVOR SCHOOL OF THE ARTS, DEPARTMENT OF DRAMA
The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for Winter Quarter 2020 in the curriculum area of dramatic literature.
The department seeks applicants to teach an upper division undergraduate level class in Latinx Performance. It might include but not limited to such areas as Latino, Latin American, Caribbean, and/or Chicano theatre, and/or subjects related to Latinidad, la frontera, and bilingualism. A preferred candidate would approach the subject from both scholarly and practical perspectives. A PhD degree in Drama/Theatre Arts/Performance Studies or related field is required. Compensation for the quarter will be approximately $6,200.00 total and is non-negotiable.
Candidates for this position must show strong experience in teaching dramatic literature and working with diverse student populations in a university environment. Experience in teaching students on writing research papers is also required. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent research and teaching profile in the field of Latinx performance.
