We Offer The primary function of this role will be to handle underwriting proposals through the credit approval process of a portfolio of corporate borrowers within Latin America. Responsibilities include:
Handling transaction requests including underwritten, committed efforts and relationship loans
Performing quantitative and qualitative credit risk analysis and assigning internal credit ratings.
Assessing proposed transactions within the context of the transaction structure to ensure risks are accurately identified and adequately mitigated
Additional responsibility includes approval of counterparty credit requests including derivative, margin loan and other related industry credit extensions. Lead communication flow with senior members of transaction teams regarding due diligence, process and approvals.
Credit Monitoring: Ensure ongoing monitoring analyses and documents - including any Shared National Credit exam-specific documents - are prepared to a high quality standard and archived in a manner consistent with approved CS Policies and Procedures.
Identifying counterparties with deteriorating credit trends, perform monthly re-assessments of credit and regulatory ratings, contribute and document proposed rating changes, recommend counterparties for addition/removal from watch lists, and bring up specific credit concerns.
Monitoring market, regulatory, macro-economic and political developments and assessing their impact on the credit quality of counterparties
Liaising with Legal department to ensure identified risks are adequately addressed in the legal documentation for structured transactions and setting credit terms in the legal documentation (e.g. Credit Agreements, ISDA and CSA) for lending and flow trading activity
Liaising with various internal departments to ensure that the exposures are adequately reflected in the risk systems.
Performing general problem solving for any issues arising in relation to counterparties in the portfolio.
