This position is located in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies. The course to be taught is SPAN 3512 “Modern Latin America” (3 credits). Description: Impact of various forms of modernization on cultural production in Latin American racial, ethnic, class relations, institutional, and ideological structures. This will be a Spring 2020 appointment, starting January 9, 2020 and ending May 24, 2020. The Adjunct Assistant Professor will be paid $8,000 to teach this 3-hour course.
Required: Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Spanish or a closely related field and three years of teaching experience in Latin American litertures and cultures at college or university.
