ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF SPANISH
The University of Pittsburgh seeks an Assistant Professor of Spanish to work in The Department of Hispanic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh. Will teach/instruct Latin American theater and performance studies as well as queer studies and feminist theory. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Mexican and Latin American theater and performance studies, queer cultural production, and postcolonial and feminist theory and Border Studies.
Must have a Ph.D. degree in Latin American Literature and Cultural Theory or directly related field plus at least one (l) year of college teaching experience.
Must also have: (i) demonstrated excellence in teaching (as measured through student evaluation of teaching surveys); (ii) any experience with the use of course management technology (e.g., Blackboard); and (iii) any experience with new course development, student advisement and course scheduling.
Must also have native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
