Lecturer in Hispanic Literature and Culture (Part Time) The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of California, Riverside seeks a part time lecturer in Hispanic Literature and Culture for Spring Quarter 2020.
Spring Quarter begins March 25, 2020 First day of class is March 30, 2020 Last day of class is June 5, 2020 Spring Quarter ends June 12, 2020
Salary: Lecturer salary is approximately $7,047.52 per course (pending final budget approval.) Appointment is eligible for renewal depending on need, funding, and performance.
Qualifications: Qualified applicants will have an M.A. or higher in Spanish or Latin American Literature and Culture or a related field, and one year of teaching experience at the college level.
Priority will be given to candidates with a PhD, and candidates with experience teaching undergraduate students.

Duties: Duties will consist in the instruction of 2 upper-division courses in the Department of Hispanic Studies; associated duties and responsibilities (meeting with students during regularly held office hours, and developing and implementing pertinent syllabi, homework, quizzes, and exams.)
Courses: SPN193: Senior Seminar in the Literatures and Cultures of the Hispanic World (Fridays 2:00 pm -4:50 pm)
SPN172 : The Testimonio and Cultural History (Mondays and Wednesdays 5:00 pm - 6:20 pm)
