The Department of Literary Arts & Studies at Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, invites applications for a 1-year term, full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Residence to commence fall 2021.

The department seeks a colleague specializing in Asian American and/or Latin American literatures, and is particularly interested in candidates who are committed to interdisciplinary endeavors in an art and design environment.
Job Qualifications Required:
● Earned Ph.D. in Asian American and/or Latin American literatures. MFA's and ABDs with experience teaching self-designed courses will also be considered. ● Evidence of a high level of scholarly practice. ● Experience teaching college-level courses. ● Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion. ● Confident communication skills, with proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
