The Department of History at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a twelve-month Postdoctoral Scholar position with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2021. The primary duties of this position consist of teaching four regularly scheduled courses (two per semester). The fellow will be expected to teach the Colonial and Modern Latin American History survey courses and Mexican History, in addition to their choice of a course on such topics as Brazilian History, Cuban History, Andean History, Drugs and Security in the Americas, Religion and Society in Latin America, Slavery and Race in Latin America, Aztec History, or the Cuban Revolution. In addition to teaching, the fellow is also expected to advance their own research agenda, direct undergraduate theses and graduate independent studies as requested, and serve on departmental committees.

A Ph.D. in History or related field by time of appointment.
Degree must have been received within the last five years.
