The Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies (CLAIS) at the MacMillan Center invites applications for a post-doctoral position at Yale University for AY 2021-2022. The 2021- 2022 Fellowship application process will begin in April 2021. Review will begin on May 20, 2021 until the position is filled.
The post-doctoral associate will teach one course in each of two terms: the first term will be an introductory course to Latin American studies and, for the second term, a course based on their interests. The post-doctoral associate will help to organize the CLAIS colloquia series and assist the chair of the council with some programming related to the council's focus on Deconstructing Gender in Latin America. The associate will be expected to be in residence from August 2021 to May 2022 and take an active role in all activities of the council, including its undergraduate and graduate student networks and its institutional partnerships.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, one-page description of research plans; a draft of a course syllabus and a title and brief summary of a second course; a CV; two letters of reference.
