The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Emory University invites applications for two faculty positions, beginning in August 2022, at the level of either assistant or associate professor.  Candidates at the full professor level with proven leadership and administrative experience will also be considered.  Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Hispanic Studies, Latin American Studies, Latinx Studies or related discipline or interdisciplinary degree) by time of appointment and have native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese and English. We are especially interested in candidates whose research and teaching address issues of race, ethnicity, and indigeneity in the cultures of Latin America, Africa, Iberia, and/or the United S
