The Davidson College Department of Theatre invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor starting Fall 2023.  We seek an artist-scholar with expertise in the performance traditions and practice of the global majority, such as Black American Theater, Latinx Theatre, Asian American Theatre, Native American Drama, and/or other artistic traditions outside of the Western canon. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity for excellence in artistic, scholarly, and pedagogical practice in a liberal arts context.  The successful candidate will be able to expand the scope of our production season by staging work by playwrights from groups that have been historically under-represented in American theatre, or through innovative approaches to the
