The Department of Theological Studies at SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY seeks to hire a tenure-track (Assistant) or tenured (Associate) professor with expertise in Theology and Racial Justice. The appointment is expected to begin on August 1, 2023.

We are especially interested in candidates whose research expands existing departmental curricular offerings, and who can strengthen departmental programs. We welcome expertise in Black, Indigenous, Latin@, and/or Asian-American theologies, comparative theology, constructive theology, diaspora studies, liturgical studies, and global Catholicism.

Research-active faculty typically teach two courses per semester. This search is part of a departmental cluster hire initiative around race. Our new colleague will contribute to our departments commitments to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their research, teaching, and service.
