The Department of History of Art and Architecture at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position of Senior Lecturer in Modern/Contemporary Art. This is a 3-year renewable appointment to begin in the 2023 fall semester. We seek a dynamic educator who teaches contemporary art using transnational or global approaches. Area of specialization beyond the broad chronological framework is open, but scholars whose research and teaching engage with queer studies, environmental/climate studies, border studies, and/or artistic producers from beyond North America, Europe, and East Asia (current departmental faculty foci), are especially encouraged to apply. Further, we welcome scholars who also maintain concurrent critical, curatorial, or studio practices. F
