Bluhm Chair in Classics -Faculty Open Rank (Associate Professor/Full Professor)
The Classics Program of Hunter College, City University of New York, invites applications for the Bluhm Chair in Classics at the Associate Professor or Full Professor rank beginning in fall 2023. We welcome scholars with different specializations related to the ancient Mediterranean world, but we have a particular need for a specialist in archaeology. The normal teaching load would be two courses per semester. The successful candidate will oversee the Bluhm Scholars Cohort, a group of 15 to 30 high-achieving students in the Classics. This cohort engages in numerous extracurricular activities and receives additional advising throughout the year.
