The Film and New Media Program at NYU Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for a full-time non-tenure track open-rank Arts Professor multi-year appointment in Film, New/Digital Media, and Digital and Interactive Media Studies. We are looking for a scholar who works in the field of film and media history with a focus on documentary, experimental, interactive, and narrative modes, popular genres, digital technologies and platforms, genres and movements within and across diverse film cultures. Scholarship theorizing and historicizing film and media practices emerging from multiple regions through multiple disciplinary perspectives would add to our program’s strategy of anchoring our students in comparative histories, theories, and practices of film and media.
