The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Smith College invites applications for a two-year, benefits-eligible post-doctoral fellowship in Spanish, to begin July 1, 2023. Ph.D. in Spanish or relevant field is expected by the time of appointment. We welcome candidates working on Latin American cultural studies, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates with research that innovatively engages the Black diaspora (from Caribbean and Afro-Latinx geographies to Spanish-speaking Equatorial Guinea) and/or transnational indigeneities, including from transpacific or transatlantic perspectives.
