The Department of American Studies & Ethnicity in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, California, is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar â Teaching Fellow able to teach Latinx studies courses during the 2023-2024 academic year.
The department is interested in scholars from humanities or the social sciences whose work demonstrates an engagement with the fields of American and Ethnic Studies as well as specializations in indigenous Central American/Latin American studies and/or Latina feminisms. In addition to research, the successful candidate is expected to teach 3 courses per academic year and to participate in the intellectual life of the department and other units on campus. This person will receive a stipend of $65,000 plus benefits. Applicants must have received their Ph.D. within the last five years or at the latest by August 16, 2023, the start date of the position, and should be able to demonstrate teaching excellence in the subject area.
