The Department of History, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, invites applications for Part-Time Teachers to teach undergraduate courses in U.S. History; European History; African, Asian, and Latin American History; and/or Global History. (Specific courses to be taught by PTLs will be determined by the department each semester.) Courses may be introductory surveys or upper-level courses focused on specific themes or topics. As the instructor of record, a PTL is responsible for preparing the course syllabus, delivering lectures and leading discussions, assessing student work in a timely manner, holding weekly office hours, responding to student emails, and submitting final course grades to the registrar.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree in History or related field required; Ph.D.in History or related field preferred. Previous teaching experience preferred.
