The Associate Director, Graduate Admission (Miami Region) will be an integral part of the graduate admission team charged with identifying, recruiting, and enrolling prospective students into Babsonâ™s suite of graduate programs. This role is responsible for promoting all of the graduate schoolâ™s offerings when traveling (domestically or internationally) or representing the College externally; serving as primary point of contact for select prospective students along with other recruiter(s); aiding in creating the yield plan for graduate recruitment; executing the recruitment plan in an effort to lessen melt and secure the incoming class; and serving as an integral member of the Admissions Management team, managing staff in a supervisory capacity and participating in the Admissions Committee review process for the full-time programs portfolio.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Meets targeted enrollment goals through the establishment of effective sales strategies and relationship management. Works in partnership and in support of the Miami campus specifically working to build brand and recruitment efforts in South Florida and Latin American regions.
Promotes Babsonâ™s Graduate programs through direct sales, professional presentations, and the execution of well-coordinated recruitment travel as well as onsite and virtual events with the primary Miami/Latin American market as priority.
Serves as a regional recruiter for Babsonâ™s graduate student recruitment efforts which includes: planning and executing all recruiting operations necessary and developing a strategic recruitment plan to meet recruitment and enrollment goals within an assigned geo-market; traveling to fairs, colleges, and events/programs in this region to recruit prospective graduate students; hosting events, coordinating faculty support/keynote speakers, and working with alumni efforts to maintain a high level/high touch approach to student engagement; offering virtual opportunities; strengthening ties with community leaders and other key influencers in the recruitment process within the assigned geo-market; conducting extensive outreach and relationship/conversation-building activities (via in person communication, phone, texting, email, written correspondence, and social media) to prospective students, applicants, and admitted and confirmed students; assisting students (and families) in any way possible as they move through the recruitment cycle; and supporting Graduate Admission in Wellesley, MA and the Babson Miami Campus Director for events and meetings.
Works as lead recruiter and implements best-practice recruiting methods through creating email templates, writing call scripts, scheduling call blocks for junior recruiting staff, and pulling call-lists based on analysis of prospective student behavior.
Works in partnership with the Director of Admission, Senior Event Manager, and other Associate Directors on planning, developing, and executing a recruitment events and communication follow-up strategy, including developing Open House content for full-time program audiences.
In collaboration with the recruitment team, manages the prospect funnel (from inquiry through enrollment) for enrollment.
Implements approved admissions policies and procedures that are âœbest practice.âÂ
Makes scholarship recommendations for admitted students to the Director of Admissions and Senior Director, Graduate Admissions.
Reads applications, evaluates graduate applications, and presents applicant files for the admissions committee review and decision.
Functions as a member of a cross-functional team that includes Career Development, Academic Services, Student Financial Aid and International Student Services; shares responsibility for establishing and maintaining a productive, collaborative and continuous feedback loop with colleagues throughout the school and College.
Shares responsibility for one-to-one marketing efforts including a variety of outreach strategies designed to increase the funnel of inquiries, convert inquiries to applicants, interview and counsel prospective students, and evaluate their candidacy for one of Babsonâ™s programs.
Evaluates and maintains data to demonstrate ROI on recruitment efforts.
Shares responsibility for international and domestic travel along with other recruiters.
Assists with updates to the website and brochures; and coordinating packets and mailings to admitted students.Â
Bachelorâ™s Degree (in Business Administration or Education strongly preferred)
A minimum of 6-8 years of experience as recruiter or related higher education professional (preferably at a Graduate or Professional school)
Demonstrated track record of securing enrollments or closing sales
Must have prior experience with levering scholarship opportunities to secure incoming class
Must have prior experience with web-based and electronic marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), and data management and mining
Ability to report and manipulate data to identify shifts and trends in the marketplace given that data analysis is integral as well as the ability to redirect efforts on behalf of the graduate programs and ensure enrollment goals are attained.
Must have strong customer service orientation and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively on high-performance team
Ability to handle multiple projects with frequent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, and faculty
Ability to be proactive in determining and implementing systems and processes that support a high-quality admissions department.

Must have demonstrated experience on how best to reach aggressive enrollment goals with full time and working professional/part time programs.

Must have had a valid unrestricted U.S. Driverâ™s License for one year and maintain throughout employment an insurable (as determined by the Collegeâ™s insurerâ™s criteria) or a satisfactory driving record; must successfully complete and pass the Collegeâ™s vehicle training program within the first 60 days of employment; annual or more frequent review of employeeâ™s driving record based on the College insurerâ™s criteria; and safety training as required by management.

Prefer previous sales, counseling, international admissions, and marketing experience
