The Department of the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the history of medicine and/or public health in Latin America. Specialists in any period are encouraged to apply.

In addition to an undergraduate major and minor in the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology, the Department administers and contributes to an interdisciplinary major in Health, Medicine, and Society. The successful candidate will be expected to teach an introductory course in Health, Medicine, and Society, as well as upper-division courses in the history of medicine and/or public health in Latin America. The candidate will also teach graduate seminars in in their thematic specialty. The annual teaching load is 2-2. The Department of the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine promotes the professional development and career advancement of all its members. Successful candidates will unite excellence in research and teaching.
