Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Psychology Field Group at Pitzer College is recruiting a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Psychology: Cognitive Development and Education. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a relevant discipline is required. The preferred area of expertise is cognitive development with a focus on education. Training in cognitive development is essential whereas a focus on education is desirable. Candidates must be well prepared to offer courses in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods. We expect a capability and commitment to teach research methods (quantitative) and a specialized research course (quantitative and/or qualitative).    Teaching load is five courses per academic year, typically reduced to four courses in the first year, and may include introductory psychology, mid-level courses
