Assistant Professor of History in France and Francophone Africa
The Department of History at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the history of modern France and its empire, with an emphasis on Francophone Africa (inclusive of French-speaking territories in North, West and/or Central Africa), and with thematic strengths in such areas as migration, capitalism, technology, global health, diplomacy, infrastructure, and/or the environment. The position is integral to a new International and Area Studies curriculum development initiative within the College of Humanities. Competitive applicants will have a research and teaching profile with a strong global component, and a demonstrated commitment to research and to research-informed teaching at all levels of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum.
