Description: The Program in Latin American Studies is launching an open call for applications for next year's visiting short-term fellowships. We are looking for advanced or mid-career scholars from any discipline whose research projects focused on Latin America, including Brazil or the Caribbean. Applications will be accepted from scholars in the humanities and social sciences, as well as from established Latin American writers, artists, filmmakers, or architects working on research or creative projects who may benefit from a short stay at Princeton University. Appointments will be for one calendar month during the 2026-2027 academic year (September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027) or the summer (July and August), to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Stipend and appointment rank will be determined on the basis of current academic rank and institutional affiliation. The work location for these positions is in-person on campus at Princeton University. Visiting Fellows will be expected to devote themselves to research and to participate regularly in the scholarly activities of the PLAS intellectual community.
