Description: The Program in Latin American Studies (PLAS) is seeking top scholars in their fields who have teaching experience and will provide Princeton students with an opportunity to study topics that are not regularly offered at the University. Applications will be accepted from outstanding scholars in the humanities and social sciences, as well as from established writers, artists, filmmakers, or architects working on projects related to Latin America. Visiting Research Scholars will be expected to teach one undergraduate course per semester, conditional upon sufficient enrollments and approval of the Office of the Dean of the Faculty, and to participate regularly in PLAS-related events on campus. Appointments are expected to be for one or two semesters during the 2026-2027 academic year (fall semester: September 1, 2026 - January 16, 2027; spring semester: January 16, 2026 - June 1, 2027). A competitive salary commensurate with experience and excellent benefits will be offered. Salary and appointment rank will be determined on the basis of current academic rank, institutional affiliation, and award duration. The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University.
