Assistant Professor in World Cinema and Media
The Department of Comparative Literature at Binghamton University seeks a scholar with a comparatist approach to contemporary world cinema and media. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Comparative Literature or a related field with an emphasis on cinema, media studies, and/or theories of globalization. We are especially interested in candidates who can teach survey courses on the theory and history of world cinema as well as specialized courses in their area of expertise. Area of specialization is open; scholars focusing on minor cinemas or cinemas of the global south are encouraged to apply.
