Position: Lecturer in Latin and Classical Studies
Starting Date: The first day of Fall quarter is September 25, 2023.
Salary: Based on 100% annual salary of $66,259. Pending final budget approval. Appointment is eligible for renewal depending on need, funding and performance.

Qualifications:
Minimum requirements are a Masters in Latin, Classical Studies, or a related field; applicants who are ABD are also encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to candidates with experience and success in teaching Latin and Classical Studies at an American university.
Duties:
Duties consist in the instruction of 8 courses per year, ranging from lower-division Latin language courses and upper-division readings courses in Latin and Greek, to lower-division lecture courses and upper-division courses in Classical Studies.

Fall: Latin 001, "Introduction to Latin"; Latin 101N, "Cicero"; Classics 10B, "Ancient Civilization: Classical Greece"
Winter: Latin 002, "Introduction to Latin"; Latin 135, "The Roman Novel"; Comparative Literature 146, "Comedy and Satire"
Spring: Latin 003, "Introduction to Latin"; Latin 101Q, "Juvenal"
