Tenure-Track Position in Latin American Indigenous History & Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies
The Department of History and the Program in Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies (CRES) at Reed College invite applications for a tenure-track position to begin August 2026. We are seeking a scholar with a research specialization within Latin American Indigenous history. The successful candidate will teach five courses per year in race, ethnic, and Indigenous studies and Latin American history (ideally with the capacity to teach across a broad chronological and geographic range). The candidate will typically teach three courses in the History department and two in the CRES program. Courses will vary based on candidate interests but will include introductory and advanced courses; co-taught interdisciplinary courses on race, ethnicity, and indigeneity; and methods courses for History m
