Race and Religion in the African Diaspora (Open Rank)
The Department of Religion at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications from scholars whose work focuses on race and religion in the African diaspora, for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor (tenure-track or tenured) or full Professor. Applicants with research interests in the Caribbean, Latin America or Africa are particularly encouraged to apply, as are scholars whose research focus is prior to the twentieth century. Disciplinary specialization is open. Successful applicants will have demonstrated interest in the academic study of religion and ability to contribute broadly to the department’s undergraduate, graduate, and public-facing programs.
